Die Stadt Kodaikanal liegt in ca. 2200 Metern Höhe  im indischen Bundesstaat Tamil Nadu und hat ca 33.000 Einwohner. Auf Grund des angenehmen Klima zählt der Ort zu den belieten Touristenzielen. Die Hauptsprache Tamil Nadus ist das Tamil die aich auf Sri Lanka als Muttersprache gesprochen wird.

Das Mekong-Delta

Permanent link: Das Mekong-Delta Ca 39.000 km² ist das im Südwesten von Vietnam liegende Mekong-Delta groß. Dabei handelt es sich um ein Netz aus Flussarmen des Mekong Fluss.




Das ganze Gebiet ist sehr fruchtbar und so gibt es zum Teil bis zu 3 Enten im Jahr, weshalb das Kekong Delta auch "südliche Reiskammer Vietnams" genannt wird. Die Einwohner leben und arbeiten hier meist am oder auf dem Wasser.
